Government is instructed by NSDC regarding redeployment of military units located in Crimea

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided to instruct the Ministry of Defence to reposition military
unites located in the Crimea. This was announced by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, acting President of
Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov while opening the Conciliatory Council meeting on Monday.
“Tonight provocations of the Russian Federation occupational troops in the Crimea against Ukrainian Armed Forces
continued: particularly, Ukrainian marine unit located near Feodosia was attacked by military helicopters and airborne
forces,” he said.
Oleksandr Turchynov informed that there is a real threat to lives and health of our military men located in the Crimea,
a threat of persecution and victimization of their relatives, of all patriots who keep fulfilling their duties to their
country.
“The National Defence and Security Council decided to instruct the Ministry of Defence to reposition military unites
located in the Crimea, and to instruct the government to evacuate families of the military facing threat to their lives
and health. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was instructed to ensure placement of military men’s families, as well
as of those forced to leave their homes under the pressure and aggression of the Russian occupational forces,” the
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine said.
