"There have been and never will be any grounds for the use of force against civilians and for the brining Russian troops. Price has to be paid for the actions," Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk said at a press conference after a meeting with UK Foreign Secretary William Hague Monday, March 3.
The Prime Minister stressed that the common position of the West on the situation in Ukraine demonstrates not only by visits of our Western partners, but also "by a clear demonstration that Ukraine is the united state and that is happening in the Crimea is a violation of all international norms and standards."
According to Arsenii Yatseniuk after in fact Western world has abolished the meeting G8 (in Sochi - ed.), the assets of Russian companies fell by 12% this morning. "Today Gazprom is by 12% cheaper than it was worth yesterday."
"We realize that Russia has its own interests, but we address to Russia: you have no right to disrupt our rights pursuing yours," he emphasized.
"Moreover, there have been and never will be any reason to use force against the Ukrainians and against civilians in Ukraine, bring the Russian troops to our state. Price has to be paid for the actions," Arsenii Yatseniuk stressed.
The Prime Minister stressed that no one gives away Crimea: "That is happening in Crimea, when the self-proclaimed illegitimate authorities are trying to nationalize the Ukrainian state property and try to disarm the Ukrainian Armed Forces - all those responsible shall be brought to justice in Ukrainian and international courts for the situation in Crimea."
Arsenii Yatseniuk also informed that during his meeting with UK Foreign Secretary it was discussed the United Kingdom assistance in search of stolen assets by former government, "UK will help with experts to prosecutor’s offices, law enforcement agencies, security agencies to find all assets immediately that the former government had stolen in the people of Ukraine."
