Arsenii Yatseniuk meets with Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk has held a meeting with Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth
Affairs of Great Britain William Hague on March 3.
The delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain arrived to Ukraine targeting to tackle the ways of assistance, in
particular “how to technically help to Ukraine to renovate the country economically”, William Hague emphasized.
The Secretary of State stressed the United Kingdom was extremely concerned by violations of independence, sovereignty
and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He reminded Great Britain had raised the issue at the UN Security Council meeting
and was planning the following steps: “Moreover, the EU shall set out their position, measures and propositions. We have
also suspended our work in the Great Eight framework”.
According to William Hague, representatives of Great Britain also intend to assure that “the diplomatic channels are
open”. “I have urged the Minister Lavrov to talk directly to the ministers and the Government of Ukraine,” the Secretary
informed.
Arsenii Yatseniuk stressed the task of Ukrainian Government was solving of the political and economic turmoil.
Presently, a key problem for Ukraine is “a security question, namely of Crimea and factual intervention of foreign
forces to Ukraine’s territory,” he accentuated.
“The Government and acting President are supervising the situation. We spare no effort to overcome the problems,” the
Prime Minister emphasized.
