Ukrainian military in Crimea remain true to oath of allegiance to Ukrainian people

Some foreign media spread information that Ukrainian military had allegedly left their units in Crimea on March 2.
Information and Press Office of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially declares that the spread information is a lie and it is a provocation.
There is also absolutely untrue information about the mass leave of personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Personnel assets of the deployed in Crimea military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that are blocked by armed persons, keeps an order and trying through negotiations to prevent bloodshed, realizing full responsibility for their families and civilians.
Military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refused to comply with the demand to give up weapons.
So, military personnel of Sevastopol tactical aviation brigade named after Oleksandr Pokryshkin declared allegiance to the Military oath and refused to give up their weapons on the request of armed persons who seized Belbek airfield near Sevastopol.
National Flag of Ukraine was officially hoisted on the territory of the deployment of the brigade on March 2, and soldiers declared that they remain true to the oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people.
Despite the attempts of armed persons to take control under the Nakhimov Academy of Naval Forces, personnel assets of the Academy said that they do not give up weapons and will not allow armed persons to invade the territory of the Academy.
"We are on our land and we have taken an oath of citizenship to the Ukrainian people", - Ukrainian sailors stressed.
The military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are controlled by Ukrainian soldiers.
