On February 8, 2014, a rally took place outside the Saudi Arabian Consulate in New York City where demonstrators chanted offensive and divisive slogans. This was not a national EADHR approved event and the actions of these individuals do not represent the organization.
EADHR organizes many events around the nation such as rallies, press conferences, lectures, and webinars--all for the purpose of promoting democracy and human rights in Egypt. EADHR stands for civil liberties and equality for all human beings, regardless of ethnicity or religion. EADHR stands for open dialogue as a mean to conflict resolution, economic and social justice, and political cooperation. EADHR calls on the international communities to support the Egyptian people in their aspirations for a democratic Egypt through peaceful means and the rule of law.
