The First Scheduled Flight From the Airport "Kherson" Landed in Moscow
The first regular flight Kherson-Moscow with 20 passengers on board of the aircraft AN-140 flew from the airport
"Kherson" on 27th of July. Three hours later, the plane landed in Moscow at the International airport "Vnukovo."
At this point, a timetable of Kherson-Moscow flight is determined - twice a week, on Tuesday and Saturday.
Yehor Ustynov also said that in the future we plan to open a new flight Kherson-Kyiv, the commercial component is
studied. In addition, today the regional state administration is addressing the issue of equipping the runway of airport
"Kherson," namely light-signaling devices and landing system.
Dairy ooperative "Askania-Nova" Was Awarded the Order of France for Agricultural Merit
Recently dairy cooperative "Askania-Nova," located in Askania-Nova village of Chaplynka district, Kherson region, was
awarded the Order for Agricultural Merit of France.
Chairman of the cooperative Natalya Lopushanska received the award from the hands of Alain Remy, Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France in Ukraine.
The leader of the cooperative, was not only able to organize the effective implementation of milk from the cooperative
members, but also actively contributes to the development of society.
Kherson Region - the Leader of Irrigated Agriculture!
Kherson region - the leader of irrigated agriculture. As a result of work in the first half of 2013 on a comprehensive
assessment of the State Water Resources Agency of Ukraine Kherson regional Department of water resources took first
place in Ukraine.
Kherson region stably and systematically raises indicators on the use of irrigated land and irrigation. So, today in the
region 290.5 thousand hectares of irrigated land are watered (10.2% to the aim). Winter crops are watered on the square
of 47.3 thousand ha, vegetables - 47.7 thousand ha, soybean - 89.4 thousand ha, maize - 31.9 thousand ha. Rice fields
are flooded on the area of 7.5 ha. Drip irrigation system covers 31.4 ha.
Chairman of the Regional State Administration Mykola Kostyak Met with the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych
The President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych instructed to ensure the availability of fruit and vegetables for domestic
consumers. This was discussed during a meeting of the President with the Chairman of Kherson Regional State
Administration Mykola Kostyak in the Crimea.
"The president has clearly set the task, as it (fruit and vegetables production) will be sold, at what price, would this
price be available for our people. All that we have discussed with the President, he has given clear objectives," - said
Mykola Kostyak.
According to him, Kherson region grows more than 2 million tons of fruit and vegetables thanks to drip irrigation.

Chairman of the Regional State Administration Mykola Kostyak visited the studios of TV channel "Tvy plus," where in the
television show "Politician without a tie" presented the results of his work during three years as the Head of Kherson
region and shared plans for the nearest future.
First of all, the Head of the Regional State Administration told the audience about the achievements in his work. Among
them - the high yields of fruit and vegetable production, the solution of the problem of round the clock water supply,
construction of the crossover between Odesa and Kherson, the construction of the bridge crossing "Tavriyskiy – Kherson
Cotton Plant," the restoration of the airport, the expansion of land area under drip irrigation and more.
"First of all, I am pleased that the residents of Kherson region do not remain indifferent to what the authorities do.
We listen to all proposals that come from the people and try to cooperate with them." - said Mykola Kostyak during the
