Civil Disobedience | Sexual Violence | And Other Tough Questions
Numerous studies have demonstrated the positive effects of mentoring, particularly for women. Studies show that mentoring can reduce job stress and lead to greater career satisfaction. They also show that female mentors are more likely to convey empathy and support than male mentors. Studies consistently lead to the same conclusions: Mentorship can be extremely beneficial to a woman's career and life.
Our Peace through Mentorship program focuses on peacebuilders of all ages, to develop mentoring relationships that build peace. Peacebuilding is an inherently cooperative endeavor, and mentorship is an opportunity for cooperation and mutual support. If you are a woman anywhere in the world with experience in peacebuilding, apply NOW to be a mentor in our spring mentorship session!
This week, we share part two of our interview with Israeli photojournalist Mati Milstein, who answered some tough questions. A second article assesses the pros and cons of doing jail time for acts of civil disobedience. Finally, we interviewed an award-winning independent documentary filmmaker about her latest production, addressing sexual violence in the African American community.
