Journalist Attacked in Nepal
The
International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) joins its
affiliate the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) in
expressing its concern over reports that a journalist was
attacked at Tanahu, in the western region of Nepal on April
9.
Krishna Neupane, a member of the FNJ’s
Tanahu Chapter and affiliated with the Lokwani Daily,
was reportedly attacked and had his mobile telephone stolen
by an unidentified group at 7.30 pm on April 9, 2012.
The IFJ represents more than 600,000
journalists in 131 countries
