Scoop Coverage: Toronto G20 Protests
The G20 meeting of world leaders in Toronto this week saw an unprecedented level of police action in a nation historically known for its protection of civil liberties. Reports have begun flooding in of unlawful arrests of peaceful protesters, detainment and even beating of journalists. Meanwhile other protesters have begun smashing shopfronts and torching police vehicles. Scoop has collated some of the footage of these events below, with updates as events warrant.
