New Coronet Square showhome opens
Those looking to ‘live the dream’ in Queenstown will get the chance to see five-star living at its finest when Millbrook Resort launches its stunning new show home this month.
The $2.5million showhome is in Millbrook’s new Coronet Square, the first stage of a carefully conceived master plan development which brings together the best in golf course, landscape and urban design.
Architect Haden Emslie has achieved a masterful blend of traditional and contemporary design for the 13 elegant homes which reflect relaxed rural sophistication.
The cluster is terraced in a koru shape above the new Coronet Nine Golf Course to ensure privacy from neighbours while maximizing Queenstown’s long hours of sunshine and panoramic views of manicured fairways, Coronet Peak and the surrounding picture postcard landscape.
The show home, which opens on Saturday December 19, features three generously sized bedrooms, three bathrooms and a covered link to the double garage, on a 706sqm section. Each home offers outstanding features and attention to detail, balancing timeless design with solid construction and high quality appliances, fixtures and fittings.
Show home features include custom-designed kitchens and bathrooms by Rachel Barnes of the multi award-winning company Ingrid Geldof Design, solid masonry construction, double glazed low-e windows, thermal heart aluminum joinery, gas fire and underfloor heating, air-conditioning, house-wide home theatre system, central vacuum system, extensive landscaping by award-winning local company Baxter Design including schist retaining walls, security alarm systems, and automatic irrigation systems.
Construction of these homes is being completed by multi award winning building company AJ Saville Ltd of Arrowtown.
The show home’s interiors have been designed to the exacting standards of high-end interior design specialists Foster and Burke, based in Queenstown and Sydney. The interiors of the Coronet Square homes can be customised to an owner’s taste.
Foster and Burke Director Jean Foster says her design focus for the show home is aimed to combine character and comfort.
“I’ve used rich textures, timber finishes and natural colours to complement the stunning views and achieve a sense of harmony and tranquility,” she says.
The Coronet Nine homes are within a five-minute walk to all Millbrook Resort facilities including three interchangeable nine-hole golf courses, a driving range and golf academy, four restaurants, tennis courts, Health & Fitness Centre, the multi-award-winning Spa at Millbrook, more than 3km of hiking and mountain biking trails and restored wetlands.
Home owners become Millbrook Country Club members and receive complimentary access to the golf courses, swimming pool and health and fitness centre, along with discounts in Millbrook food and beverage outlets, The Spa and access to a wide range of member events each year.
Millbrook Property and Development Manager Ben O’Malley is delighted with the showhome and believes people will fall in love with the home and its location when they see it.
“Our property re-sales and Country Club membership sales have hit a record high in the past year and we’re seeing a growing desire from people worldwide wanting to invest in the Millbrook lifestyle as it continues to mature.
“We’re very proud of our new Coronet Square development – this is fairway living at its finest. It absolutely reflects the lifestyle we’re aiming to achieve for our members.
“We’ve already completed the first houses, with two now owner-occupied, and several of the high-end standalone homes are underway or about to start construction,” he says.
The Coronet Nine development is part of a long term ongoing investment by Millbrook owners Eiichi Ishii and his family. In the past couple of years, with the backing of the Ishii family, Millbrook has invested approximately $30million on a new covered driving range, the new Coronet Nine golf course, new neighbourhoods, walking trails, Butel Villa and Village Inn refurbishments, a major IT system upgrade, and a Coronet Square show home.
