Bainimarama In Port Vila Melanesian Leaders Summit
PM Commodore Bainimarama arrives in Port Vila
Prime Minister Commodore Bainimarama has arrived in Port Vila to attend the 17th Melanesian Spearhead Group MSG Leaders Summit.
Honorable Ham Lini, Prime Minister of Vanuatu was at the Airport together with senior officials to receive Commodore Bainimarama.
There were also traditional dances and performers at the Airport to greet Commodore Bainimarama. He was accorded a warm welcome and reception on arrival.
PM accompanied by the Vanuatu PM Hon Ham Lini at the airport.
The two leaders talked briefly at the Airport before Commodore Bainimarama made his way to Le Lagon Hotel where the MSG leaders are staying for the Summit.
Commodore Bainimarama said he very much appreciated the gesture and goodwill Prime Minister Ham Lini showed in personally receiving him on his arrival.
He was also very grateful for the warm reception accorded to him, including those by the cultural dancers.
This evening Commodore Bainimarama will meet the Fiji students studying at Emalus Campus, University of the South Pacific to hear of their progress and issues and provide words of encouragement towards their studies.
Tomorrow he will pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Ham Lini and have bilateral discussions with him.

to Papua New Guinea, Ratu Isoa Tikoca
He will similarly make calls on Prime Ministers of Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea and bilaterally discuss matters of mutual interest.
The MSG Leaders Retreat and Summit will be held on Thursday 29th and Friday 30th respectively. The official opening of the MSG Headquarters in Port Vila will take place on Friday afternoon.
Prime Minister Commodore Bainimarama will return to Fiji on Friday 30th May. During the period of his absence, Ratu Epeli Ganilau, Minister for Defence, National Security and Immigration will be the acting Prime Minister.
