West Bank: American Shot In Head With Teargas Canister
An American activist was shot in the head with a teargas canister today in the village of Bil'in. Shambu Hanuman, an activist from California, visited the West Bank village of Bil'in today to celebrate the third anniversary of the popular struggle against the Annexation Wall.
Moments after the demonstration reached the Annexation Wall, Hanuman was shot in the head with a teargas canister while standing off to the side with the journalists.
An eyewitness said, "There was blood all over him, you could see his skull inside the wound."
He is currently seeking treatment in Ein Karem Hospital in Jerusalem.
