School Building Projects In Rewa And Tailevu, Fiji

MOU Signed For School Building Projects In Rewa And Tailevu
The Office of the Prime Minister today sealed two more major projects with the RFMF Engineers regiment through the signing of the MOU's at the PM's Office.
The two projects includes:
The full renovation of classrooms, maintenance of two teachers quarters and construction of one teacher quarters at Ratu Sauvoli Memorial Primary School, Noco, Rewa which will cost $151,267.13;
The construction of four teachers quarters ablution blocks at Nabitu District School, Tokatoka, Tailevu which will cost $57,500.00
In July this year, a MOU was also signed for the construction of the Thomas Baker Memorial Junior Secondary School Building Project, which cost $151,539,00.
The three projects will cost $360,306,13 and will be funded through a grant made available by the People's Republic of China.
The Navatusila project is at its finishing stages and the two additional projects for Rewa and Tailevu is being earmarked for construction simultaneously during this school holidays beginning on Monday next week.
Permanent Secretary for the Prime Minister's Office, Parmesh Chand said that the implementation of these three projects clearly demonstrates the Interim Government's commitments to improving facilities and lifestyle of people out there in the rural areas.
"We are very grateful for the services of RFMF Engineers Regiment for coming forward and assisting us with these projects in this instance."
"The projects have been planned to be up and ready in the new school year and we believe it will boost the education level in the rural areas. We sincerely thank the People's Republic of China and RFMF for their goodwill gesture in helping develop our people and in this case the education facilities in the rural areas of Fiji."
