Kovco Board Of Inquiry
The Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, has released the findings of the Board of Inquiry Report into the death of Private Jake Kovco.
Our thoughts and sympathies lie with the Kovco family, in particular Jake’s widow Shelley and mother Judy.
The Board makes 29 recommendations in relation to weapons safety, training and repatriation and investigation matters.
The CDF has accepted all recommendations and has already implemented 6 recommendations.
The remaining recommendations will be implemented as a matter of priority.
A copy of the Kovco Board of Inquiry Report can be found at: Http://Www.Defence.Gov.Au/Publications/Kovcoreport.Pdf.
