Sri Lankan State Terrorism at Killinochi on November 2, 2006
The Sri Lankan state's latest crime against humanity committed yesterday by indiscriminate droppings of bombs using Kifir Air force planes in the vicinity of a hospital in Killinochi in Vanni and killed many Tamil civilians while severely wounding scores of other civilians. Five hundreds sick, old, new born infants, new mothers and many other wounded Tamil civilians were forced to evacuate this hospital immediately. Plights of these people are heart wrenching to see.
This atrocious attack by the Sri Lankan armed forces on a hospital in Kilinochi Jaffna, Sri Lanka amounts to a state sponsored, cowardly act of terrorism. The bombs dropped have caused death of patients and fleeing of the inpatients.
This act needs total condemnation by the International community. New Zealand, as a country, championing Human rights should send a strong message of utter disgust at this act of violence.
