USUN PRESS RELEASE #305
I am sad to hear of Chris Burnham's resignation as Under Secretary General for Management at the United Nations. I am grateful for the service he has dedicated to reforming the United Nations through his tireless efforts to achieve a more efficient, more transparent, and ultimately more effective organization. His commitment to reform the institution and to improve its management will leave an important legacy for the new team of leaders coming to the UN in January. Over the next several weeks and leading up to Secretary General-designate Ban Ki-Moon's taking office, we expect many other senior UN officials to transition out as well, and we thank all of them for their service.
Released on October 26, 2006
