Filipino charged with murder in Marshalls
A contract worker from the Philippines is facing first-degree murder charges after he allegedly stabbed and killed his roommate with a knife in the Marshall Islands capital, Majuro.
Nestore Aguilar is in jail after being unable to post the 5,000 US dollar bail set by Marshall Islands High Court Judge Richard Hickson.
Aguilar is charged with murdering Arnal Soliman, his roommate and fellow contract worker from the Philippines last Saturday.
Soliman died at Majuro Hospital of stabbing wounds shortly after the assault.
It was the second killing in Majuro this year.
