There are just a few days until the massive day of resistance planned October 5 by World Can’t Wait. The list of cities
with actions planned has mushroomed to more than 150 in the last week. To read the call to action, and to find an action

2. Supine Congress Offers Support For Bill That Eliminates HabeasCorpus and Exonerates Torturers
The assault on individual liberties continues. Last week, a draconian bill passed in Congress, , S. 6166, will
effectively strip persons of habeas corpus – the right to challenge one’s detention in a court of law. Instead of
standing up to the Bush administration’s criminal assault on this most cherished civil protection, most of Congress is
rolled over, with barely a whimper.
The legislation also shields from prosecution those who have ordered the torture of detainees, and its broad, undefined
language allows that basically anybody can be designated an ‘enemy combatant’ and denied their basic rights. It also
allows prosecutors to dispense with fourth amendment protections in the gathering of evidence.
What is happening in America?
One senator who at least spoke out in futile protest was Wisconsin democrat Russ Feingold. Another was Vermont’s
democrat Patrick Leahy. But neither of these gentlemen, nor any or their colleagues saw fit to walk out, filibuster or
otherwise show visible disgust with this profoundly un-American legislation.

3. Mike Berger of 9/11truth.org Debates Matthew Rothschild of The Progressive
In what was a surprisingly congenial debate, 911truth.org media coordinator Mike Berger gets the best of editor-in-chief
of The Progressive Matthew Rothschild in a debate on the Dino Costa radio program from Colorado. Rothschild appears out
of his depth a bit, and even admits at the end of the debate that a new investigation is needed (you don’t say,
Matthew!)

4. Improbable Collapse Released!
The long-awaited final version of Mike Berger’s powerful documentary Improbable Collapse has been released. Ordering

5. Kevin Ryan, Kevin Barrett and Steven E. Jones scheduled to speak at October Colorado 911 Visibility Events; Project
Censored hosts Media Accountability Conference; More
a. The 911truth.org calendar is chock full of upcoming events, headlined by the Colorado 911 Visibility events planned
for Oct 28-29. The program is entitled The Science of 9/11, the Suppression of Dissent, and a Nation in Crisis: Scholars
for 9/11 Truth Speak Out
On Saturday, October 28, the program will be held at Davis Auditorium, Sturm Hall at Denver University from 2-6 pm. On
Sunday, October 29, the program will be held at the Math Auditorium of University of Colorado at Boulder from 2-6 pm.

b. Project Censored and Peter Phillips will host the first annual Media Accountability Conference, at Sonoma State
University on November 3 & 4, 2006. The event will provide a forum for our award-winning authors to present the important stories missed by the
mainstream over the past year.
The program will also provide an opportunity for journalists, academics and the "viewing public" to look at how
information is controlled and shaped, to identify where the system breaks down, and to brainstorm strategies for
launching new mainstream media and updating the journalistic paradigm that exists today.
The opening night keynote, 11/3, presented by physicist Steven E. Jones, will offer a critical and compelling
perspective on some of the suppressed information regarding 9/11.

6. Help Politics911 Pick Up Steam!
Politics911 is well underway, and we need your help!! Following are the details. Please forward this action plan far and
wide, and get busy - elections are less than 5 weeks away!
The goal: Every candidate for federal office this year is asked to go "on the record" regarding 9/11 and the need for a
new investigation by responding to a questionnaire delivered by his/her constituents. We are finding a few out there
willing to actually represent the nearly 50% of their constituents who want a new investigation - are your state's
candidates among those? Time to put the "Represent" back in Representative!!
Specifically, we need your help to poll every congressional candidate in the country on their understanding of 9/11
truth, its relation to current domestic & foreign crises, and their support for an independent new inquiry. The campaign will then highlight promising 9/11 truth
supporters and try to promote their election.
We obviously cannot do this without a lot of people taking part -- in groups or individually, but there are now many
thousands of readers on this list, and only about 1,200 candidates, so this is certainly doable if you help.
Helping with this historic initiative can be both easy and fun -- often rare attributes in grassroots 9/11 land -- and
have an enormous lasting impact to boot.
All you have to do is:
a) Read through all the campaign info at http://tinyurl.com/ejfqy
b) Choose the other people you would like to work with in your group or area. Note: Anyone with a little care and
intelligence can brief and poll a candidate as a single individual. It is often just a lot more interesting and
effective if several or more people collaborate to game plan their approaches to specific candidates and maximize the
impact of the survey's message both upon the candidate's staff and the surrounding community. Bird-dogging (questioning
candidates openly at public events) also ideally requires at least three persons - a questioner, a videographer and
someone recording sound to preserve and share a record of their responses.
c) Register as a user at 911truthgroups.org/911Truth
d) Choose a role (poller, bird-dogger, tactician, etc.) and the candidate campaign(s) you will focus on.
e) Deliver 9/11 truth literature to each campaign (see "Politics 911" Briefing Resources), poll the candidate(s), report
back the results at the website above, and post links to your audio or video files if bird-dogging was involved. Note:

f) Last and most important, help 9/11-friendly candidates in your region and beyond in any way you can. A list of 9/11

That's all it takes - a few hours of interesting, intelligent effort and you can help change history. Please sign up and
get started today. You can see how cynically certain candidates are exploiting fear and 9/11 today, and we must turn
that all around.
Helpful Polling Hints:
When you approach uncommitted or unpolled candidates, introduce your 9/11 points or questions with respect to issues the
candidate professes to care most about - e.g., Iraq, the Patriot Act, the deficit economy, Big Oil/global warming, etc.
Gently suggest how 9/11 largely caused or exacerbated the candidate's prime issues, and note how many people now believe
we need a totally new 9/11 investigation to see how this all came to pass.
Use the Zogby poll numbers , the prominent names on the 9/11 Truth Statement, or quotes from the 9/11
Commission-founding "Jersey Girls" who insist huge questions still remain.
Be respectful and polite, but also relentless until each candidate responds. As you well know, there is no more
important issue today in order to understand our times, identify worthwhile candidates, and begin to take our country
back.
