ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF STATE HILL: Well, we had a good discussion about Asia issues, starting, of course, with the North
Korea situation. We talked about the way forward, the fact that the diplomatic route remains open as far as we're
concerned. But we also discussed the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1695. We discussed some
regional issues in Northeast Asia. We discussed the situation in China, the situation more generally in Northeast Asia.
And then, we had a discussion of Asian architecture questions: ASEAN, ASEAN+3, ASEAN+6, East Asia Summit, APEC. And we
also discussed the Burma situation. So it was a real tour d'horizon around Asia.
QUESTION: Did you talk especially about North Korea?
A/S HILL: Of course. That was the first issue we discussed. We wanted to sort of look at where we are with the
diplomatic process, but also make sure that the UN Security Council Resolution 1695 is properly implemented. So I thank
you very much, and I'm going to get some sleep now.
QUESTION: Do you have another appointment today?
A/S HILL: No, just to go to bed.
