Overseas Vote Foundation Previews the VOTERTOOLS™ Platform
to State Secretaries and Election Directors at NASS and NASED Conferences
SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO, July 11, 2006 - Overseas Vote Foundation (OVF), today, will preview the VOTERTOOLS™ Platform, a new voter solution containing multiple services and extendable for future service offerings at the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) and the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED) concurrent annual summer conferences.
The VOTERTOOLS Platform is the essence of OVF’s new expanded overseas voter registration strategy which consists of licensing the same level of secure, Internet-based services that OVF is known for to states and voting-oriented organizations that wish to reach out to voters. Targeted availability of the VOTERTOOLS Platform is August 2006, in time for an impact in the upcoming midterm elections.
The VOTERTOOLS Platform enables states, agencies, PACs, corporations, universities, virtually any type of organization to take advantage of OVF’s proven voter registration solutions. The screen interface logo and color scheme are customizable. The VOTERTOOLS Platform services are fully-hosted but appear as services running on the licensed website. It contains the complete set of applications that are available on the OVF website: RAVA online voter registration, the OVF Election Official Directory and the OVF Voter Help Desk, all with lock-tight security and voter privacy.
NASS, as an early adopter of the new VOTERTOOLS Platform technology, will demonstrate a customized implementation at its conference, showing its support for this unprecedented outreach. “We are delighted to be at the forefront of this strategy to bring innovative voter registration technology to any organization that wishes to provide it, and in particular to be first to show it to the states,” said Leslie Reynolds, Executive Director, NASS and Advisor to OVF.
“OVF’s voter services are nonpartisan, secure and private. This set of services will help state officials and voting organizations better serve military and overseas voters in 2006 and beyond. We commend OVF for providing a solution that does not impose any technical development or maintenance requirement for use,” continued Ms. Reynolds.
With the planned August 2006 launch of the VOTERTOOLS Platform, OVF will extend its reach considerably – not just bringing overseas voter registration solutions to the voters themselves, but also to the many various organizations that would also like to provide online registration solutions.
“Our objective with the VOTERTOOLS Platform is to enable the states to immediately offer a complete, online military and overseas voter registration solution without development, maintenance, or support overhead,” stated Susan Dzieduszycka-Suinat, Executive Director, OVF.
