Grandfather Back at It - Now Online
Games Designer Kevin Toms, who created the Football Management game phenomenon, now does it again on the Internet!
In the eighties, Kevin invented a Football Management game for home computers. It's compulsive quality and sheer enjoyment made it a worldwide hit with millions of players. Now, Kevin has formed his own team and produced a new and revolutionary game for the Internet, FootyMax.
Football fans can now manage their very own football team anywhere, anytime by entering into the realm of Team Manager where your choices directly affect your team’s performance.
“It does for online gaming what my original Football Manager game did for computer gaming on home computers” - said Kevin
FootyMax.com CEO Callum McNair said that FootyMax.com is a strategic decision-making game that is specifically designed for online play.
“The game is based on previously successful games for home PC’s but is web based.
“The beauty of FootyMax.com is that users can play at any time, anywhere they have access to an Internet browser,” Callum said.
According to Callum, FootyMax.com also has a unique design allowing for continuous play whilst promoting competition and interaction between other players.
“Competitors can add their mates to their Buddy List and compete against in customisable formats and scenarios.
“The sites community portal also means that players can meet and discuss football with other keen football enthusiasts – both in the virtual and physical world,” Callum said.
Further Kevin added “I have worked with the team at FootyMax to create not just a game, but a whole community of players and competitions to offer the fun and excitement I created on home PC's plus the fun of competing with others online”
Kevin Toms, the brains behind the FootyMax.com concept, is known as the ‘grandfather’ of sports management software development, is famed with inventing the genre around 20 years ago.
He has since produced two number one computer games – Football Manager 1 and Football Manager World Cup Edition each selling more than one million units. Kevin’s games software has also seen him win the prestigious Strategy Game of the Year award
Kevin is an experienced software architect, who has over 20 years experience developing software for a wide range of industries and companies including the European Space Agency, IBM and City of London banking institutions.
“It’s fantastic to have Kevin’s skills and knowledge behind this new venture,” Callum said.
“His vast experience means that FootyMax.com will be able to utilise the latest and greatest internet technology to give football fans a revolutionary gaming experience,” Callum said.
FootyMax.com is free to trial for the first two weeks with low cost membership options available when the trial expires. Sign up now and be in to win an Apple Ipod Nano.
