Another Samoan police officer under investigation for rape allegations
A Samoan police officer is being investigated for the alleged rape of a female detainee.
Reports say the woman had been detained in a cell at the police head-quarters in Apia last weekend when the incident occurred.
Assistant Police Commissioner and spokesman Papalii Li’o said the officer is being investigated for the alleged crime.
This is second Samoan police officer under investigation in the force.
A senior officer has been accussed of sexual harassment allegations against a junior police woman.
But Papalii, in a report on Radio Polynesia, denied this.
He said the senior officer is being investigated for some kind of misconduct against the woman officer.
