The Prime Minister, in his statement to reporters this morning, aided by the Attorney-General Phillip Ruddock, that he
will rush through 'a bit' of the terrorism act based on a purported "report" of an impending threat without a complete
and informed debate and scrutiny by all Premiers and by the Parliament, but refusing to detail this impending threat,
AND the fact that ASIO has not raised the terrorism alert to a higher status in any way, shape or form, should be seen
as a despicable lie by the Prime Minister until we are informed otherwise, because it comes from a PM has been given to
lies since he took up the baton as Australia's Prime Minister," WA human rights group Project SafeCom said.
"We have no reason to have any trust in Australia's Prime Minister, and we should be alert and alarmed about this action
by the Prime Minister, who is a PM who tries to bypass the Parliament and Australia's elected parliamentarians, because
he's fanatically driven by his own ideology which includes an attempt to try and control everything what happens
together with those in his inner circle."
