1. Now More Than Ever - Stand Up For Freedom In Palestine!
While the world believes the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is being resolved and that Sharon has become "a herald of peace," on the ground every day in Occupied Palestine, it is apartheid, and not peace, that is being constructed. It is more important than ever to come to Palestine to join Palestinian nonviolent resistance to the Israeli Military Occupation!
The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) needs activists who are willing to commit to the principles of non-violent action, to put their bodies where their hearts are in defense of human rights and justice.
We urgently request your presence here with us in Palestine from now until June to support ongoing Palestinian non-violent initiatives and to join our Freedom Summer 2005 campaign beginning mid-June.
Palestinian communities are asking that ISM activists support their non-violent demonstrations against the continued construction of the Wall and in their various efforts to remain steadfast on the land of their ancestors despite the continuing land theft and the constant violence of the Israeli military and illegal settlers.
In an effort to eliminate witnesses to the war crimes committed by the Israeli military and armed settlers, the Israeli authorities have been denying human rights activists access to Gaza and the West Bank. We must not allow them to succeed in isolating the Palestinian people!
Please see our website: http://www.palsolidarity.org for information on how to join us. More details on our summer campaign will follow shortly.
In solidarity & struggle, The International Solidarity Movement
