Grand Mufti Denounces Terrorism
The Granf Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Shaikh Abdulaziz Aal-Ashaikh, in a clear and frank statement denounced and condemned all acts of terrorism. Describing it as an “ugly evil”, he urged for it to be fought at every level. Quoting verses from the Holy Qur’an and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, Shaikh Abdulaziz was unapologetic in his vilification of terrorism and those that carry out acts of terrorism.
“The malicious and evil acts of terrorism that include the killing of non-Muslims who live in the Kingdom as well as calling for the attacking of Muslims and non-Muslims are all in contravention of Islamic law and nature. It is imperative upon all Muslims to fight extremism and terrorism and to co-operate with those who are fighting this disease.”
