Ethos Water Company Joins with CARE for Water Project in Congo
Ethos Water today announced a partnership with CARE to bring clean water to a war-torn community in the Democratic
Republic of Congo.
Ethos Water will contribute $10,000 to CARE for the construction of safe water and sanitation infrastructure and support
services in the rural village of Kampene in the Maniema region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The village’s previous water system was destroyed during the ongoing civil war. The CARE project will impact the lives
and health of more than 3,000 residents.
“We are delighted to have the support of Ethos in bringing safe water to people who are struggling to rebuild their
lives,” said CARE president Peter Bell. “Clean water sources are not only vital for community health, but also save
women and girls many hours traveling long distances to fetch water.”
“The scarcity of clean water is a critical issue in Sub-Saharan Africa so we are pleased to partner with CARE to bring
clean water to this region,” said Ethos co-founder Peter Thum. “This contribution is a first step and a sign of things
to come from Ethos and its customers as we continue to grow,” added Ethos co-founder Jonathan Greenblatt.
Ethos and its customers are already making an impact around the world, helping to fund humanitarian water projects in
Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Honduras and India.
In these countries, Ethos collaborates with well-established international organizations such as WaterAid and
WaterPartners International, helping to bring clean water to towns and villages in need of drinking water and sanitation
systems.
