SUVA (Fiji One News/Pacific Media Watch): Fiji Information Minister Simione Kaitani has denied claims that he played a role in George Speight's illegal government during the military coup of 2000.
Kaitani's statement comes as police today hand over their investigation file against him to the State Prosecution Office.
Deputy Director of Public Prosecution, Peter Ridgeway, confirmed receiving the police file on Kaitani this morning.
The Information Minister strongly denies he took any ministerial oath to be part of Speight's illegal regime.
The DPP's Office will decide on charges once they study the evidence.
