GPN Signs Romanian Production Powerhouse
Media Pro Inks Deal Giving Filmmakers Access to Top Production Services in Eastern Europe
LOS ANGELES – Global Production Network (GPN) has signed Media Pro Pictures and its subsidiary Domino Films, both leading forces in the Romanian and eastern European production arena, for exclusive U.S. representation.
A well respected, top-tier company in the motion picture community, Media Pro is helmed by Andrei Boncea. Over the past three years it has provided production services and facilities to more than 40 feature films, 16 of which were co-produced by Media Pro.
The company’s latest productions include the upcoming releases: “Cave,” directed by Bruce Hunt, starring Cole Hauser (a Lakeshore Entertainment production for Screen Gems); the $20 million “BloodRayne,” directed by Uwe Boll, starring Academy Award winner Sir Ben Kingsley; and “Modigliani,” directed by Mick Davis, featuring Andy Garcia.
Included in the deal, GPN gains Domino Films, Media Pro’s commercial production partner. Domino Films has produced projects for Anonymous Content (Los Angeles), Radical Media (London) and Partizan (France), to name a few.
Mihai Cociasu, Executive Producer of Domino Films, oversees each production with an in-house staff of eight and access to Media Pro’s facilities that include; 15 sound stages; four water tanks; costume and prop house; and back-lot facility with lake.

With the signing of Media Pro and Domino Films, GPN can now provide its feature film, music video, and TV commercial clients with Romanian expertise equivalent to services found in more traditional filming centers.
