Today Israeli Army Occupies Budrus Arrest and Injuries Result
Eye-witness reports claim Israelis and internationals targeted
Today at 8:00AM, villagers from Budrus, once again marched towards the Masgoofah area expecting to protest the return of the bulldozers. Instead they were met by a large force of Israeli soldiers.
Yesterday, Israeli bulldozers had arrived, unexpectedly, to the Masqoofah area in Budrus. The residents of the surrounding area organized a demonstration Sunday and managed to stop the bulldozers.
Today they returned to protest the presence of bulldozers on their land.
At approx 9:30 the bulldozers were brought in and without warning the Israeli soldiers attacked the demonstrators with tear gas, concussion grenades, clubbing people with night sticks and shooting into the crowd with rubber bullets.
Palestinians, Israelis and ISM activists are protesting the presence of the army.
Children, women, old people were also present.
At least 15 people have been injured by rubber bullets, including an Israeli.
According to eye-witness reports, confrontations are escalating in Budrus at the time of this release. Tear gas is being fired directly inside of Palestinian homes and soldiers are positioning themselves on the roofs of the homes. The Israeli soldiers are firing towards internationals heads.
According to eye-witness accounts, an Israeli female soldier has beaten a Palestinian woman, pulling off her veil and tearing her clothes, with the help of male soldiers.
Israeli activists have been arrested.
Children, overwhelmed by tear gas are being transported by ambulances for treatment. Most injuries are being treated inside the ambulances due to the growing number of injuries.
The siege of Budrus by the Israeli Army continues at the time of this release.
