Residents of Three Villages to Block Bulldozers-Protest the Construction of the Wall

Where: Rally at Center of Deir Samit and march to the site of contruction The villages of Deir Samit, Beit Awwa
and Al Kun, southwest of Hebron, are loosing agricultural lands to the construction of the Israeli Separation Wall. Over
2,200 dunums of land, that belongs to the village residents and is used to produce olives, almonds and other sources of
income for the villages, will be annexed by Israel once the wall is completed. Since Friday, September 10, the Israeli
army has been bulldozing the land, tearing out olive and other fruit trees to make way for the construction of the Wall.
Residents of Deir Samit, Beit Awwa and Al Jun are organizing to resist the construction of the Wall on their land The
march tomorrow is being organized by the village councils, mayors and municipalities of the three areas and will be
joined by internationals and Israelis.
The plan is to block the bulldozers and halt the destruction and confiscation of their lands and the construction of the
Wall.
