Updates on the Women demonstration in Biddu
Friends,
4 women were arrested during the demonstration today in Biddu as they were nonviolently protesting the destruction of the land and ghettoization of the community. Two of the detainees were released later in the day, including Palestinian Deema Hamdan and UK citizen Angela Julian who was released on the condition not to go back to the Biddu area for the next 15 days.
US ISM activist Huwaida Arraf and French activist Angela Coppin are still detained in Givat Zeev police station but the charges against them are unknown so far.
You can find below a report of the demonstration from ISM Biddu and a journal sent by Gila Svirsky from Bat Shalom.
