Palestinian Terrorists Murder 10 in Double Suicide Bombing
Two Palestinian terrorists carried out a double suicide bombing on Sunday (March 14, 2004), at the Ashdod Port. 10 Israelis were murdered in the attack, and 11 were injured.
Israeli Security Forces Operation in Gaza During the course of an operation by the security forces in Gaza, tonight, the Israel Air Force targeted two structures which were used by the Hamas terrorist organization for the development and manufacturing of weapons, including Qassam rockets and mortar shells, one in the Zaitun neighborhood and the other in the Nazer neighborhood in Gaza city, in the northern Gaza Strip.
This operation is a part of the battle against the terrorist infrastructure of the Hamas terrorist organization, which leads the suicide bombing attacks directed against innocent Israeli civilians, in cooperation with other terrorist organizations.
The efforts by the Hamas terrorist organization are aimed at causing a large number of casualties. Only the limits of carrying out these attacks by the Hamas determine the severity of the results.
Halting Exit of Workers from the Gaza Strip to Israel
In light of security assessment following yesterday's terror attack at Ashdod Port, it has been decided to halt exiting of workers from the Gaza Strip to work in Israel, starting tonight.
Entrance of workers to the Erez industrial zone will continue as will transfer of merchandise at the Karni and Sufa terminals will be authorized.
The Rafah terminal will remain open.
Humanitarian cases for entry into Israel will be approved by coordination and liaison offices.
