Israel Invades Jenin Fatah Assassination Attempt

IOF Thrusts into Jenin, Arrests Civilians, Attempts to Assassinate a Fatah Member
JENIN, Palestine -- Israeli occupying forces (IOF) lunched on Friday morning an onslaught on Jenin City and its camp, arresting 17 Palestinian citizens and attempting to extra-judicially assasinate a Fatah member
Eyewitnesses said that a contingent of Israeli troops, backed by 20 tanks, swept deep into the western parts of Jenin City, specifically, Al Hadaf neighborhood, Wadi Barqeen and the vicinity of the graveyard are and indiscriminately opened heavy gunfire towards civilians’ houses.
During the incursion, the Israeli troops used dynamite to blast the front doors of houses, as running amok from house to house, seeking out the Palestinian resistance activists, shortly before IOF loudspeakers were used to trap the residents of the Jenin into their homes under a military edict of curfew, WAFA reported.
The locals added that, by searching insanely from house to house, the Israeli soldiers forced dwellers, mostly children, women and elderly people, out under severe cold weather and rain showers.
The arrest campaign rounded up more than ten citizens, among were, Atta Remeilat, 42, secretary of Fateh movement in Jenin refugee camp, Mohammed Dabaya, 28, Mujahed Qenairi, 27, both are activists of “Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades”, the military wing of Fateh, Bassem Badwe, 43 and Jihad Turkman.
Meanwhile, a senior member of "Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades", the military wing of Fatah movement, the largest Palestinian faction, of the West Bank, Zakria Al Zibeidi 24, escaped a failed attempt on his life Friday evening at the hand of an IOF undercover unit disguised in Palestinian civilian clothes that infiltrated the western neighborhood of Jenin refugee camp.
Reports said that Al Zibeidi, all by a sudden, has been ambushed under a hail of live gunfire. The exchange of fire lasted for an hour even though he was wounded with two live bullets, he managed to escape death and arrest by the IOF special unit.
IPC correspondent reported that an IOF contingent, as well, invaded Qabatia Town of Jenin and launched a wide scale house-to-house search, in which the citizen Mohammed Abu Wa’er, 20, and Mohammed Hanaisha, 21, were arrested.
On last Tuesday, The Israeli occupying forces extra judicially executed As'ad Khaleelia, 31, from Jaba'a Town, south of Jenin City.
Eyewitnesses said to IPC correspondent that special Israeli forces disguised as civilians shot dead the Palestinian national security officer As'ad Khaleelia as driving by the Civil Defense Building in a "Subaru" car.
Medical resources reported that the said Palestinian died of shots that penetrated all over his body.
Elsewhere, west of Nablus, the residents of Raphedia area were confined into their houses under curfew for the third day in row and the soldiers held any vehicle trying to pass through Raphedia street, IPC correspondent reported.
Within the last two days, the Israeli tanks, patrolling the streets, have run over Palestinians cars parked there, causing gross damages, IPC's added.
On the other hand, the Israeli occupying forces sealed off all entrances and intersections of Nablus City and inhumanely abused any one trying to enter into the city, compelling him to take off his clothes under the pretext of inspecting for explosive belts.
