U.S. President Bush Will Attend Special Summit of the Americas
Hemispheric leaders to convene in Monterrey, Mexico, January 12-13
President Bush will travel to Monterrey, Mexico, on January 12-13, 2004, to attend the Special Summit of the Americas,
according to a statement issued December 19 by the White House.

President to Attend Special Summit of the Americas
The President will travel to Monterrey, Mexico, on January 12-13, 2004, for the Special Summit of the Americas. The
Special Summit will provide an opportunity for the democratically elected leaders of the hemisphere to meet together to
discuss our shared interests in strengthening democracy and promoting prosperity and development throughout the
hemisphere. The President's trip to Mexico will also afford him the opportunity to discuss bilateral and regional
priorities with hemispheric partners.
