IOF Kills Two Palestinians Including 10-year Old Child
BEIT HANUN, Palestine - Israeli occupying forces (IOF) shot dead two Palestinian citizens Saturday, including a 10-year old boy who was killed after a stone-throwing clash in the city of Jenin.
Palestinian medical and security sources said that an unidentified body of a young Palestinian arrived Saturday afternoon to the Al Shifa hospital in Gaza City, and was riddled with bullets. The young man was later identified as Ahmad Assaf, 21, from Jabalya refugee camp, north of Gaza Strip.
Palestinian general security directorate in Gaza said that Assaf was shot dead in the area of Abu Safiyya, near the town of Beit Hanun, and that the occupying forces have held his body for three hours before allowing the ambulances in to evacuate it.
The Islamic resistance movement (Hamas) affirmed in a distributed statement that Assaf was one of its members, and was on his way to carry out a military operation near the Green Line in the area around Beit Hanun, then was shot dead by the occupying soldiers, and was left to bleed several hours before he was dead.
Earlier, in the city of Jenin, a 10-year old boy was shot and killed by IOF during a stone-throwing clash.
Eyewitnesses and medical sources in Jenin said that Ibrahim Jalamna, 10, was shot with a live bullet in the chest as IOF invaded the city of Jenin. Several youngsters and children hurled stones at the occupying forces, which in turn opened heavy and indiscriminate fire on them , killing Jalamna.
The said Israeli killing has been characterizing the three-year old Intifada, in which lives of nearly 2,740 Palestinians have been claimed by the end of September of this year.
Meanwhile, IOF arrested four Palestinian citizens in the villages of Kofr Ein and Deir Ghassana, northwest of Ramallah and ElBireh governorate.
Eyewitnesses said that IOF troops and undercover units raided the aforementioned villages and searched the houses there. Later, they arrested the four citizens, handcuffed them, verbally and physically abused them then led them into an unknown destination , WAFA reported.
On Saturday evening, gunmen shot and killed two Israeli guards near a section of the controversial Apartheid Wall that Israel is constructing along and inside the Palestinian lands of the West Bank.
The security guards were reportedly guarding a construction site for the wall and the nearby equipment when gunmen opened fire at them, killing both of them, AP news agency reported.
