ISM and Communities of Tulkarem to Demonstrate Against Israeli Wall 11-13
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Tulkarem Communities Demand Removal of Wall, End of Occupation
On Thursday, November 13, at 12:00pm several hundred Palestinians from Women's unions, political parties and grassroots
organizations together with International Solidarity Movement volunteers will converge at the Baka Sharqia gate in the
"separation fence".
Organized by the National Committee Against the Wall, this demonstration is the next step in a series of world-wide
actions against Israel's ghettoization of the West Bank.
In recent months Palestinians with land and homes on the other side of the "fence" have been increasingly denied access
and told that their land is now Israel. Thursday's Palestinian and international non-violent action at the Baka Sharqia
gate will demonstrate that Palestinians will not accede their land to Israel nor accept their imprisonment in West Bank
ghettos. Protesters will march through the heavily guarded gate/checkpoint that has been closed to a majority of
Palestinians for several months.
Given that Palestinian school teachers and farmers are often tear-gassed and beaten on their daily commute through the
Baka gate by Israeli Border Police, we expect the response by the Israeli army and Border Police to this non-violent
demonstration will be no less violent.
