Tul Karem Refugee Camp Invaded Again
Tul Karem Refugee camp, Occupied Palestine
Approximately one hour ago, soldiers of the Israeli military occupied the UNRWA high school in the Tul Karem refugee camp in the West Bank of Occupied Palestine.
Soldiers ordered the high school caretaker to open the school in order for the military to set up inside. During the last month, the Israeli military also took over the school and proceeded to arrest all of the males between the ages of 15-50 within the camp.
These men were taken to the school, interrogated and then shipped to a neighboring refugee camp (Nur Shams), and told not to return to their homes for three days.
Because of the incursion into the Tul Karem refugee camp last month that started in the same way as what is happing now, ISM volunteers in Tul Karem are on high alert.
Currently, in addition to the occupation of the UNRWA high school, there is an extremely high military presence within the Tul Karem camp, including military jeeps, hummers, APC's and bulldozers.
