DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE INDENTIFIES MARINES KILLED IN ACTION
The Department of Defense announced today the identities of two U.S. Marines killed in action on March 21 in Southern Iraq. Killed were: 2nd Lt. Therrel S. Childers, 30, Harrison, Miss.
Lance Cpl. Jose Gutierrez, 22, Los Angeles, Calif.
Childers was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, Calif. Gutierrez was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
