General Officer Annoucement And Assignment Brigadier General
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated Army Col. William M. Jacobs for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Jacobs is currently serving as program mangement officer, Objective Force Task Force, Arlington, Va.
Army Chief of Staff Gen. Eric K. Shinseki announced today that Army Brig. Gen. Paul D. Patrick, U.S. Army Reserve Control Group (Inactive Status), Saint Louis is being assigned as deputy director for Strategic Initiatives, J-5, the Joint Staff, Washington, DC.
