"SICK-IN" AGAINST CORPORATE MEDIA TAKES PLACE AT 10 A.M. TODAY AT NBC MANHATTAN STUDIOS

NEW YORK - A group of activists from New York University's Radical Art Collective staged an action outside of NBC's
Manhattan Studios at 10:00 a.m. today to protest the corporate bias in the network's news programming. The protestors
will vomit to convey their message, "Corporate media makes me sick!"
WNBC, MSNBC, and other nationwide NBC affiliates have given little or no coverage to the massive global anti-war
movement that is now coming together, and their programming reflects a distinctly pro-war stance when discussing the
possible invasion of Iraq, members of the collective said.
Many are unaware of the fact that NBC is a subsidiary of General Electric Company, one of the world's largest
corporations as well as one of the largest weapons manufacturers. GE makes astronomical profits from developing and
selling devices that cause civilian deaths and destroy the livelihood of entire nations. Since GE has a vested financial
interest in seeing the US go to war in Iraq, would it be unreasonable to assume that NBC's coverage of the developing
situation between Bush and Hussein, with millions of civilian lives at stake, is just a bit biased toward a military
"solution"?
Think twice before trusting what you hear in the corporate news, a member of the Radical Collective said, and check out
