Dec 25 -2 - Father Christmas gives a gift to a local girl in the village of Belulik Leten near the border with West Timor. Father Christmas, the Commanding Officer of the Fifth New Zealand Battalion Group Lieutenant Colonel 'Lofty' Hayward, the Regimental Sergeant Major Warrant Officer Class One Danny Broughton and the Padre, Chaplain Ross Falconer visited all the forward locations within the New Zealand area of operations courtesy of 3 Squadron Detachment of the Royal New Zealand Airforce.
Dec 25-5 - Father Christmas poses for a photograph on Christmas Day with his new and improved sleigh at 'Gate Pa' high in the hills of East Timor.
Dec 25-7 - Santas Sleigh is reflected in the visor of Pilot Officer Charlie Beetham (AKA - Assistant Sleigh Driver and # 2 Elf) as he waits for Father Christmas to return from bringing good cheer and delivering christmas presents to kiwi peacekeepers on Christmas Day at Junction Point Foxtrot (JP F) on the border between East and West Timor.
Dec 25-8 - Father Christmas and New Zealand Battalion Padre, Chaplain Ross Falconer deliver a christmas surprise to Kiwi Peacekeepers on duty in East Timor on Christmas Day. Due to the warm weather, Santa had to leave the reindeer in a cooler place and call on the services of 3 Squadron Detachment Royal New Zealand Air Force to help him get around the New Zealanders deployed in East Timor.
