1) Indonesia says Timor Militias not disarming 28/09/00 (Reuters) ATAMBUA, Indonesia (Reuters) - Indonesia said some
pro-Jakarta militias in West Timor were refusing to hand in their weapons despite Wednesday's deadline, raising the
prospect of confrontation if police carry out a threat to seize arms.

soon link East Timor to its Oecussi enclave in Indonesia.
6) Syahnakri plays down spat with US Ambassador Gelbard 28/09/00 (Indonesian Observer) JAKARTA - The Chief of Bali's
Udayana Military Command, Major General Kiki Syahnakri, has brushed aside recent criticism of his military performance
by US Ambassador Robert Gelbard.
7) Police gear to raid militia in West Timor amid reports of resistance 28/09/00 (AFP) JAKARTA - Indonesian police on
Wednesday prepared to forcibly seize weapons from the militia in West Timor as the country's top security minister
warned some militiamen may resist the raids.
