2) Australia offers funds to help close West Timor camps 16/08/00 (Reuters) CANBERRA - Australia offered financial aid to Indonesia on Tuesday to help close refugee camps near the West Timor border around which militias responsible for killing two United Nations peacekeepers in East Timor operate.
3) IOM repatriates 144 E Timorese refugees from Kupang 16/08/00 (AFP) JAKARTA - The International Organization for Migration on Tuesday repatriated 144 East Timor refugees by sea from the capital of Indonesian-controlled West Timor, an IOM official said.
4) Olympics hold no fears for Timorese survivors 16/08/00 (AFP) DARWIN - East Timorese boxer Cesar Pinto is unlikely to be frightened by anybody he might meet in the ring during the Olympic Games.
5) Timor mission successful thanks to lawyers 16/08/00 (AAP) CANBERRA - Australia's mission to East Timor was spearheaded by soldiers with guns but not far behind came lawyers in uniforms.
