executive power with East Timorese leader Xanana Gusmao in the lead-up to full independence for the U.N.-administered
territory, according to a document obtained Tuesday.
2) Indonesian team in East Timor seeks undestroyed assets 28/06/00 (Japan Economic Newswire) DILI - Indonesian team
arrived in East Timor on Monday to look into the prospect of reclaiming privately held assets that were not destroyed
after the Aug. 30 vote for independence, a U.N. spokeswoman said Monday.

Kupang refugee camps over a week ago following an attack on UNHCR staff have not yet returned. Refugees wanting to leave
the camps for East Timor still have to make their own way to the Fatululi processing centre, some 25 kilometres away, to
register for repatriation.
