SUVA: Fiji's National Youth Congress and the Ministry of Youth are organising a day of unity, prayer and fasting at Albert Park in the capital Suva on Saturday.
Congress president Inoke Bainimarama said today that youth from all works of life were invited to come together to pray for the nation and its leaders.
He said that the young people, especially those in the Suva area had been viewed negatively since the events of the May 19 coup were youths who participated in the looting, terrorism and the burning of shops .
They are not going to take any stand or make any statements to the media but just get together and pray for the people involved in the negotiations between the military and rebel leader George Speight's group.
The program begins at 10 am on Saturday.
