Strategic Human Resources Symposium (Australia)
Tuesday 4 April to Thursday 6 April
Hotel Kurrajong, Canberra
Major General Peter Dunn, Head-Defence Personnel Executive, will host an international symposium on behalf of the Australian Defence Force from 4 to 6 April inclusive.
The symposium will be attended by an international panel of senior military and civilian human resource executives from the defence forces of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Participants include Vice Admiral Patricia Ann Tracey, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Personnel Policy (United States Navy), Major General Christian Couture, Chief of Staff to the Assistant Deputy Minister Human Resources (Canada), and Air Commodore Bruce Ferguson, Chief of Personnel (New Zealand.)
The aim of the symposium is to foster international communication and cooperation on strategic human resources issues affecting the defence forces of all participating nations. Issues to be addressed at the symposium include future trends and challenges in military personnel management, the impact of legislation on the development of personnel policies, and strategic human resources developments in the Australian Defence Force.
