Congratulations on concluding a very successful PRT
conference this week. Embassy Prague's execution of this
event involving over 250 representatives from 46 countries
was absolutely outstanding.
The mission's extensive coordination with the Czech
government, other foreign governments, Department colleagues,
NGOs, and media organizations resulted in an impressive
conference, highlighting the areas in which our European
partners are most active: building Afghan capacity to provide
security, strengthening Afghan institutions, and promoting
economic development. I would especially like to recognize
Acting Deputy Chief of Mission John Law, Acting Public
Affairs Officer John Vance, and other Embassy colleagues
whose efforts ensured the conference's success.
On behalf of Assistant Secretary Gordon and the entire
bureau, thank you for your outstanding work in drawing
attention to, and building public support for, the critical
contributions that our European partners are making in
Afghanistan.
CLINTON
