In response to the referenced action request, ECONOFF met
with Humberto Zambrana, Director General de Exportaciones,
and Cecilia Cabrera, Jefe de la Unidad de Regulacion de las
Exportaciones, in the Ministry of Productive Development and
Plural Economy on October 23. At that meeting ECONOFF
advised the Government of Bolivia of their 2010 TRQ
allocation. The Director General responded that Bolivia
intended to fill its entire sugar quota for Fiscal Year 2010,
and that should an additional allocation be available,
Bolivia could supply additional sugar to the United States.
Through subsequent written communication and a meeting held
November 3, the ministry communicated the allocation of the
quota to specific producers and Certificates for Quota
Eligibility 2010-BO-99 through 2010-BO-103 were issued.
