(U) DCM contacted Presidential Spokesman and Advisor Dr. Dino
Djalal and Department of Foreign Affairs (DEPLU) Director
General for American and European Affairs Amb. Retno Marsudi
to convey reftel request that Indonesia send a senior
government representative to the November 19 presidential
inauguration in Kabul. Djalal said he thought it a wise idea
to send a high level delegation, and Amb. Retno told the DCM
she had already passed the message to the Foreign Minister.
Separately, Pol/C reviewed with a key Presidential Palace
aide and poloff discussed the matter with Cicilia
Rusdiharini, Deputy in the DEPLU Directorate of North and
Central America.
