ANNOUNCEMENT TO EXPAND FIGHT AGAINST GLOBAL H1N1 PANDEMIC
REF: STATE 99707
(SBU) EconOff delivered reftel to Czech Foreign Ministry
Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Department
Director Hana Sevcikova and her colleague Vladimir Hejduk
during the week of September 28. After several weeks and
multiple attempts to get a response, Hejduk responded to
EconOff that it is very improbable that the Czech Republic
will have the resources to join the global H1N1 initiative.
He appreciates our work on the issue, and acknowledges that
the developing world is vulnerable to the H1N1 pandemic.
